Training Update

Malli - "I am at a place called Sandak phu, 11,000ft (apprx) bordering Nepal and North West Bengal.
I have been training here for the long distance running. Weather was good in the initial days but later started raining incessantly every day... I am keeping up training by skipping (10,000skips in 100minutes) everyday. I want to increase it to atleast 3hrs of skipping with out stop..by the time I am ready for full marathons.
I am planning to shift to Shillong for the training as I could get some support from the Indian army there. I will be in Shillong from Oct2nd. I would do 4 continuos halfmarathons from Oct2 - 5th. in Shillong, Gowahati, Nagaland and Mizoram"

The Dream:

Yet another challenging dream churns out from the reflections of the Worlds’ Fastest 7 Summiteer, Malli Mastan Babu – To run 300kms of distance in 14 days in 14 incessant Half Marathons (21kms) Across India. No Indian has ever dreamt of this till now!

Challenge:

“Flying plethora of domestic airlines and enduring the toils of flight formalities, coping with the varied climatic conditions such as cold, hot, humid and rain, with no time to recuperate from the 21 km run on the previous day and doing 21km runs (half marathons) everyday totaling to almost 300kms in two weeks across half of Indian states spanning as remote as Nagaland in the North-East, Delhi & Rajasthan in the North, Gujarat & Maharastra in the West and Kerala in the South before culminating at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh is a feat of it’s own kind which no Indian has ever dreamt of!”

The event would kick off on Oct 21st from Shillong in Meghalaya and terminate at Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh on Nov 3rd.

Dedication:

He wants to inspire the Indians to take into physical fitness leading to a healthy and stronger nation. He would run 21kms every day for two weeks exhorting every body to take into running at least 3kms a day achieving 21kms per week. He believes that this would build a very healthy hobby and culture among Indians while the cyber revolution is offsetting the health conditions.
